Android has been continuing to irritate me. Granted, the ancient and venerable pre-slide MyTouch 3G – one of the early ones without a conventional jack – is certainly dated. But I can’t help but think performance could be greatly improved if Google hadn’t completely sold out and allowed automatically running, non-removable Amazon bloatware onto their phones. Well – you can remove it, it just requires rooting one’s phone, which I have no intention or desire to do.

Follow this up with the extremely weak e-mail capabilities and complete lack of text messaging organization, and – as I’ve been saying, the Android is a nice toy, but it’s no Blackberry.

Still, I need something to keep me warm until my contract expires in September. What can possibly be done?

Keiko Kubota is capable of making Android not suck.

(For best results, tell your phone to STFU and use the whole image as wallpaper. And then have fun re-organizing icons so as not to obscure Ms. Kubota.)

Red Moon is out.

Let this serve as another reminder that Yuki Kajiura is God.

Still working my way through the album, but really, it’s Yuki Freaking Kajiura – one doesn’t need to bother listening to know it’s overflowing with awesomeness.

Edit: Having listened to the album in its entirety several times, I’m having a hard time deciding what to make of it.

The problem I’m having is it’s too good. From the epic, sweeping, majestic, insert other well deserved adjective cliches here Red Moon, to the pointedly ending-like I have a dream, there’s not a single weak track to be found.

I must conclude that Yuki Kajiura is a musical robot sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor.
